It started in 1990, when Chris opened his first full-service travel agency on a simple idea: people should be able to take more vacations and pay less for them. More than three decades later — now alongside co-founder Ryan — we've helped hundreds of thousands of travelers plan trips around the world, working directly with the resorts, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, and suppliers behind them. Those relationships give us access to wholesale and negotiated rates the general public rarely sees.

In addition, Vayo has access to unused Resort, and Cruise inventory that is often unavailable to the public. By securing this excess and unused inventory, we are able to offer our members travel opportunities and rates that are frequently unavailable through traditional booking channels or public travel websites.

Along the way, we kept seeing the same thing. Most travelers assume the popular booking sites give them the best price. In reality, platforms, affiliates, and advertisers each add a markup before the trip ever reaches you — so people quietly overpay for the exact same vacation. Rising costs and hidden fees have priced too many families out of travel altogether. We built Vayo to strip those layers away: a membership that gives you direct access to wholesale inventory and member-only rates, instead of one more website selling you a marked-up trip.
